Ariatu Public Relations

London PR Agency Specialising in PR & Comms Strategy for Black Creatives and Entrepreneurs

Culture PR consultancy - PR strategist - media relations consultant

At the core of everything we do is a deep-rooted belief in the power of culture and creativity, they are the foundation of our approach and the driving force behind every strategy, campaign and story we develop. Our work is grounded in the understanding that authentic, culturally aware communication has the power to shift perceptions, spark conversations, and drive meaningful engagement.

Over the years, we've had the opportunity to collaborate with a range of clients across the creative industries. From podcast production companies and publishers to film and television studios, our expertise spans the entire media landscape. In every project, our goal remains the same: to craft communications that resonate, inspire and connect.

Our public relations services are designed to be both comprehensive and culturally nuanced. While we have the capacity to reach general audiences across diverse demographics, we specialize in connecting with Black African and Caribbean diasporan communities in the UK. We do this not as an afterthought, but as a core focus bringing insight, respect, and authenticity to every campaign.

What sets us apart is our understanding of the cultures we represent and the audiences we aim to engage. This isn’t just about demographics or surface-level trends. It’s about truly knowing what matters to these communities, their values, their stories and their aspirations. With this insight, we create narratives that don’t just inform, but genuinely resonate. We highlight the richness, achievements, and contributions of Black African and Caribbean individuals and communities, positioning their voices at the centre of national conversations.

Our campaigns aren’t just visually creative or well-worded, they’re deeply rooted in cultural intelligence. That’s what allows us to build trust, credibility, and lasting impact. Whether we’re handling media relations, crafting a brand story, or launching a new product, we ensure that the messaging aligns with the lived experiences of the audience.

We also understand that the media landscape has evolved, and with it, the ways in which people engage with content. That’s why social media is a vital part of our strategy. We actively collaborate with influencers and content creators who have authentic connections with the communities our clients want to reach. These voices add depth, relatability, and real-time engagement to our campaigns, ensuring they go beyond reach and actually spark meaningful conversations.

Working in the creative industries means staying attuned to shifts in culture, taste and audience behaviour. We pride ourselves on being adaptable and forward-thinking. Cultural trends are constantly evolving, and we make it our mission to evolve with them. That means listening closely, staying informed, and refining our strategies to meet the moment. It’s not just about keeping up—it’s about staying ahead in a way that feels natural and relevant.

Authenticity isn’t something we add to a campaign at the last minute. It’s baked into our process from the very beginning. Our team brings a wealth of lived and professional experience to the table, allowing us to develop strategies that reflect the diversity and vibrancy of the audiences we speak to. This ensures that every message lands with clarity, purpose, and cultural resonance.

When you work with us, you’re not just getting a PR agency—you’re gaining a partner who understands the intricacies of culture and communication in today’s world. We bridge the gap between creativity and community, between bold ideas and real-world impact. And we do it with the belief that storytelling, when done right, has the power to change everything.

As the creative industries continue to grow and diversify, our commitment remains unchanged: to deliver public relations that are meaningful, inclusive, and rooted in culture. Whether your brand is launching a new podcast, premiering a film, or releasing a ground-breaking book, we’re here to ensure that your message reaches the right audience in the most impactful way possible.

Let’s create something unforgettable together.

A few of the creative organisations we have worked with:

Publishing, Books & Author PR

Publishing has always been a core part of our creative sector work.

Over the years, Ariatu PR has worked with major publishing houses including Penguin Random House, Ebury, Bloomsbury, Usborne and Jacaranda Books, supporting both fiction and non-fiction titles through media relations, launch strategy and author positioning.

This work sits naturally within our wider creative communications practice. Books are cultural products, but behind every book is also a person, a perspective and often a bigger conversation. That’s why our approach to book PR goes beyond publicity alone.

We look at the wider picture: the author’s voice, the cultural relevance of the work and the audiences it needs to reach.

This is particularly important when working with Black authors, diaspora stories and culturally significant publishing. We understand that visibility in publishing is not always equal, and we are intentional about helping important stories reach the audiences they deserve.

Alongside traditional book publicity, we also support authors with personal branding, media training and long-term profile building — ensuring that the work and the writer are positioned for impact. Whether it’s a debut release, a major campaign or a wider author positioning strategy, our work is designed to connect books with readers in meaningful ways.

Book PR & Author Campaigns

Book PR is the process of building visibility for a published work through strategic media relations, communications and storytelling.

This can include:

  • Media outreach and press campaigns

  • Author interviews and thought leadership

  • Book launch strategy and press events

  • Audience and community engagement

  • Personal branding for authors

  • Media training and interview preparation

  • Reputation management and long-term positioning

We work with authors directly as well as publishers looking for culturally intelligent PR support that complements internal campaigns.
